G8 08 24

G8 08 24

Presentation:

You will learn how to ask about what interests your friends, and to make suggestions. Two patterns: Are you interested in….. Why don’t you….

Practice:

Emulation: Repeat after me.

Are you interested in Albert Einstein? Why don’t you study him in school?
Are you interested in fish in the sea? Why don’t you take a biology class?
Are you interested in reading books? Why don’t you go to the library?
Are you interested in drawing? Why don’t you buy your own crayons?
I am hot. Why don’t you eat ice cream? Why don’t you go swimming?
Why don’t you drink cold water?
I have a headache. Why don’t you take medicine? Why don’t you go to bed?
Why don’t you go home?

Production:

Individual Emulation.

Students will answer the above questions.

If they say they are interested in fish, type: you could take a biology class. Students will change that to a question, using the pattern: Why don’t you take a biology class?
Etc.
