Presentation:

We will review how to ask and answer questions in the plural and singular.

Practice:

Emulation: Repeat after me.

Is there a Santa Claus? No, there isn’t. Yes, there is.
Are there ghosts? Yes, there are. No, there aren’t.
Is there a computer room in this school? Yes, there is.
Is there a library in this school? Of course there is.
Is there a science room in this school? Yes, there is.
Is there a broadcasting studio in this school? No, there isn’t.
Are there lions in the zoo? Yes, there are.
Are there unicorns in the zoo? No, of course not!

Production

Ask students the questions above, especially those about school.
Ask questions about their classroom.

Is there a wastebasket in this room.
Are there desks in this room?
Are there computers in the room?
Is there a clock in the room?
Is there a teacher in the room?
Is there a girl wearing red in the room?
Are there students with glasses in the room?
Are there parents in the room?
Etc.

Ask questions about the zoo.
