G5_U02_04

Intro:

Hello everyone! Today we will learn to use these sentences. “What day is it today?” which is a question. And “It’s _____day.” to answer that question.

Practice:
Do you know the days of the week?
Please listen and repeat (go thru twice, second time do quiet claps for rhythm)
Sunday (This is the first day of the week), Monday (This is the first day of school.) Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (This is the last day of school), Saturday (This is the last day of the week.) Saturday and Sunday together are called the weekend. The other days are called weekdays.
(Some teachers like the word put into a sentence, so I would use the sentences below as my sentence. Then they would have already heard the question/answer.)

Production:

Wrap up:
Ask the above questions to individual children within the class if you know their names.
Have the class repeat the answers.

Take care! (Good-bye.)
