They are ON the desk. They are IN the desk. They are UNDER the desk.
He is BESIDE you. She is BEHIND you.

Production: Listen and repeat
The ball is IN the box. The ball is UNDER the box. The ball is ON the box.
The cat is IN the box. The cat is UNDER the box. The cat is ON the box.
The book is IN the table. The book is UNDER the table. The book is ON the table.
The pencil is IN the desk. The pencil is UNDER the desk. The pencil is ON the desk.

The hat is BEHIND the chair. The hat is BESIDE the chair.
The coat is BEHIND the desk. The coat is BESIDE the desk.

[Or...have some small items, such as a book, ball, pen, pencil, glasses, etc. Put them on/under beside and behind each other and have the students describe what they see.]

WRAP UP:
Individually I will ask them to do something.

Put you hand ON your head/ desk/ leg/hand. Put your hand UNDER your desk/ chair.
Put your foot UNDER the chair/desk. Put your foot ON your leg.
Place your hand IN your jacket. You are sitting BESIDE a girl. Move your chair so you are sitting BEHIND a girl. Move your chair back BEHIND the desk. (or do just the opposite)

Individually I will ask them a question.

I see sunshine. You are sitting ____ the window.
I see there is a girl/boy next to you….You are sitting _____a girl/boy.
The backpack is _____ the desk/chair.
Etc. Just to ask each one a question to participate.

(sit in your chair and sit on your chair are used to indicate the same thing)

Thanks for having class with me today!! ahn-nyong-hee ga-se-yo.
