Presentation: Today we will talk compare things, and see if we can describe things by comparing them with something else.

I am older than my sister. My sister is younger than I am. He is fatter than his friend.
His friend is thinner than he is.
Mary is smarter than she is. She is dumber than Mary.
The flower is prettier than the cabbage. The cabbage is uglier than the flower.
He is smaller than the elephant. The elephant is smaller than him.
The red cup is bigger than the blue cup. The blue cup is smaller than the red cup.
The spoon on the right is bigger than the spoon on the left.

Production:

Have students answer questions based on photographs.
Have students ask questions based on photographs.
Have students ask questions about their classmates (if it seems prudent).
